In Summer 2015, after creating a number of art pieces celebrating the cult sci-fi television series The X-Files and posting them on his blog, J.J. was approached by 20th Century Fox to create artwork for 201 Days of The X-Files. The social media campaign celebrated the return of the series through a re-watch of the original nine seasons of the show leading up to the first new episode. J.J. created a theatrical-style movie poster for each installment of the 207 episode series to accompany the episodes during the re-watch. Each poster design focused on the tone and style of the particular episode, drawing inspiration from a number of styles, influences, and legendary artists. Below is an archive of his poster designs which premiered online a day at a time from August 2015 to the premiere of The X-Files Limited Series in January 2016. J.J. has partnered with Acme Archives Direct, Fox's exclusive licensee for fine art prints, to release lithographs of these poster designs, some of which are available here with more coming soon.
