Featured in The Pittsburgh Anthology book from Rust Belt Publishing, J.J.'s short graphic novel "The T to Nowhere" chronicles growing up in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Beechview right on the trolley line.

The Labs is transforming the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh into a laboratory of exploration, learning, and discovery. It is Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's "Learning Lab" program focusing on mentorship and creative technology as they impact youth across the city. J.J. oversees The Labs at CLP-Beechview where he serves as Teen Specialist and Creative Technology Mentor.

J.J. served as editor and oversaw the layout of "Sebastian Goes to Iceland", a children's picture book written and illustrated by Jacqueline Ann Gibson and Barbara Jean De Long.
